Screen Media Lab

I undertook a weeks' work experience in Summer 2006 at Notion Studio, Digbeth - this is the moving image department of Screen Media Lab.

I made some idents for a client's showreel - I'm not sure if these were put into use, but I think the first one may have been.

I also animated some pre-made characters (unfortunately I can't take credit for the design) in Flash, for the Media Talent Bank website - these are currently in use on the website.

3rd Prize entry to E4 Skins competition

From 2006 - Illustrator + Flash, made in 2 days when I heard about the competition and the deadline was looming. I find it a bit embarrassing now, I hadn't really used Illustrator much before and certainly hadn't made such a long animation in Flash.
Came 3rd though.

Embarrassing now because it's so personal and my first attempt at website design, (I studied website design before I studied design really, I must add) but this was my entry to a D&AD competition. The brief was to design a website that described a typical day in your life.

I do like the interface though. I'd like to make something else that works like that somehow but need to come up with a concept.

I'm astounded that it still works so smoothly!
